Giveaway: Love Stinks!

Love Stinks

Today is the release day of Love Stinks!,  an anthology book which I’m excited to read because one of the author is someone close to me. Ever since I found out about this project I’m excited for Rachel of Fiktshun. And now that her book is finally out, I’m giving you all a chance to win an eBook copy of her book, Love Stinks! below.

About Love Stinks!

Love is magical. Love is amazing. But every once in a while love stinks! We’ve all been there. Heartbreak spawning crafty ideas of revenge. The “it’s not you, it’s me˝ syndrome. Well, this book celebrates all those love-bumps along the great highway of life. Fourteen YA authors have come together to reveal the truth about the dark side of love that few people talk about. But with a lot of humor and a bit of mystery, you might not mind too much that LOVE STINKS!

LOVE STINKS! is the second anthology from tween/teen publisher Ambush Books. Featuring stories by Vivi Barnes (Olivia Twisted), Marni Bates (Awkward, Decked with Holly, Invisible), Eldritch Black (Book of Kindly Deaths), Karice Bolton (the Witch Avenue and Watchers series), Naomi Canale, Cecily Chase (aka Cecily White…Prophecy Girl), Rachel Clarke, Shanyn Day, Tara Gonzalez, Laurie McLean (Knight Moves), Doug Rees (Vampire High, The Juliet Spell, Majix), Lynda K. Scott (Great Escapes B&B), Linda Wisdom (50 Ways to Hex Your Lover, A Demon Does It Better) and Carol Wolf, (Summoning, Binding), LOVE STINKS! will take you on a roller coaster of red hot goodness that will make you laugh, cry and everything in between.

Ambush Books is the brainchild of award-winning children’s book author Douglas Rees, his literary agent Laurie McLean, and social media ninja and agent Pam van Hylckama Vlieg. Often their luncheon conversations would involve tales of fabulous classic children’s books that were no longer available for purchase. What a shame! So Ambush Books represents their quest to bring those abandoned treasures out of the dark caves where they’ve been hidden away by publishers in order to share them with the tweens and teens of today. Ambush will also publish books in series that never saw the light of day as well as anthologies introducing new voices to middle grade and YA audiences.

  1. I want this book! Love Stinks sounds awesome. Why do I think love stinks? Hmmm, let’s see. *Drops infinite scroll*
    – Being with the wrong person. Despite you “loving” him, there’s no way it would work out. Too different, when you’re going up, he’s going down. You say white, he says black. And vice-versa.
-Long- distance. When everything is perfect, fate pulls you apart with thousand of miles in between. Endless suffering starts here and opens up the next few things…
-Jealousy. When there’s no trust or no way of knowing what he’s doing, the bug comes out and bites you hard.
    – Control-freak. Perfect guy with just a small flaw: Tell me what you’re doing 24/7. “At what time do you go to the bathroom?”
    – Falling out of love. What did I see in him in the first place?
    – HUGE impossible crush. And then you see him with another girl. *Insta-heart break*
    – And books ruining the way you see other guys, so you grow old waiting and waiting for Peeta, Holder, Ash, Jace or somebody else to take you off into your personal happily ever after. There’s no love without them ❤

And…that's it. The most important stuff for me anyway. 😀

  2. Wow thank you so much for this generous giveaway! You are truly an amazing person. Thank you! This post… I love this post. 🙂 I’m a bit speechless and blushing at the moment. Also feeling like I’m some kind of blog stalker. I’ll step away now. Just know that I’m in tears. 🙂

  3. Love stinks because the media always gives us a wrong picture of it. The movies make it look like magic, make it look like it’s easy and natural and flawless and efforless, which they are not.

  4. OMG, I cannot wait to read Rachel’s story!!! 😀

Well, and love really stinks when someone ends up getting hurt.

Thank you so, so much for this wicked giveaway!!! 😀

  5. Why do I think Love Stinks? I think Rachel’s top 10 covered many of the reasons but I’ll add that only those who really matter to you can really hurt you in a significant way. Sometimes a thoughtless word or gesture from the one you love can feel like the worst kind of rejection and leave you devastated. And we’re always analyzing everything they say and do for hidden meanings and trying to read between the lines and most of the time you eventually come to find out that there was no deeper meaning, they were simply a shallow jerk. Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to win a copy of this!

  6. Happy happy happy for Rachel!!
Cannot wait to read it!!!! 😀

And I don’t think that love stinks… much.

Mostly when the trust is betrayed is when I think it stinks because it’s so easily lost (the trust) from someone you love but hey… those are the risks… 😀

    Thanks for the chance girl!
