Celebrating Debutantes 2016

Today is the last day of the first wave of Celebrating Debutantes 2016 event. And before I present the last feature, I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone who supported our event. We will have the second wave on July this year so watch out for that!

For my stop today we have author Judy Sheehan here on the blog to share the playlist she made for her new YA contemporary novel, I Walk Up Dead on the Mall. I hope you all listen to the songs below and enjoy them as well.

Following the playlist are some information about author Judy Sheehan along with places where to find her online. Then there’s also the book descriptions and where to get copies of I Walk Up Dead on the Mall.

Also, be sure and check the bottom of the post for all the details on a how to win a Signed ARC of the book which is open to everyone!

I Walk Up Dead at the Mall Playlist

I’ve been listening to the playlist above ever since Judy sent us the link. I even added them to my music from Spotify. Some of the songs are familiar to me, while others are just new discovery which are all lovely. It’s really nice to discover new songs and playlist to listen too. Thanks Judy for sharing the list. Though I haven’t get the chance to read the book yet, I’m sure will be reading it soon with those songs above in mind and also playing at the background.

When Sarah wakes up dead at the Mall of America, she learns that not only was she murdered, her killer is still on the loose.
When you’re sixteen, you have your whole life ahead of you. Unless you’re Sarah. Not to give anything away, but . . . she’s dead. Murdered, in fact. Sarah’s murder is shocking because she couldn’t be any more average. No enemies. No risky behavior. She’s just the girl on the sidelines.

It looks like her afterlife, on the other hand, will be pretty exciting. Sarah has woken up dead at the Mall of America—where the universe sends teens who are murdered—and with the help of her death coach, she must learn to move on or she could meet a fate totally worse than death: becoming a mall walker.

As she tries to finish her unfinished business alongside her fellow dead teens, Sarah falls hard for a cute boy named Nick. And she discovers an uncanny ability to haunt the living. While she has no idea who killed her, or why, someone she loves is in grave danger. Sarah can’t lose focus or she’ll be doomed to relive her final moments again and again forever. But can she live with herself if she doesn’t make her death matter?

This book sounds like a dark comedy, and that is definitely my literary scene, as it were. Thanks for introducing me to this cool new release and giving an opportunity to win a copy! Cheers, Kara S

Aside from the fact that the book sounds so interesting, I adore the playlist! I’m listening to it right now and I’m in love. Especially the song with Mandy Patinkin, who I know has a great voice, but this song is fantastic. Thanks for sharing this playlist and for introducing me to some really cool songs ❤ Thank you also for the giveaway!
